Prophecy Strengthens CA Alliance
Released 12 February 2001

Australian software multinational Prophecy International (ASX: PRO) has joined a program to greatly enhance its collaboration with Computer Associates.

CA has invited ASX-listed Prophecy to join its Development Partners Program, an elite group of global software innovators that includes Adobe Systems, Citrix Systems, MapInfo and Seagate Software.

As well as providing Prophecy with resources to create greater integration with CA products, the collaboration will enhance access to new markets for Prophecy through the world-wide CA distribution network. CA will also gain access to Prophecy's world-leading rapid application assembly e-Foundation technology.

In a further move to strengthen the alliance, Prophecy International has accredited CA as a ProphecyOpen Systems Integrator, enabling it to undertake ProphecyOpen implementation services throughout North America.

Prophecy International distributes its e-Foundation products - comprising the ProphecyOpen financials and the Framework rapid application assembly software - through a global distribution network covering all major time zones. Clients include Sofia Water in Bulgaria, Missouri River Energy Services in the US and ANZ Bank in Australia.

Prophecy International Worldwide Business Alliances Director, Mr Joe Slattery, said the partnership program would deliver even closer ties with CA. "The primary focus of this program is about developing solutions between a third party and CA using CA technology," he said.

"A secondary benefit is that it provides an additional route for us to tackle new markets with a partner such as CA. As well cooperative advertising, access to mailing lists and listing on CA's intranet, this offers marketing development funds to match our level of commitment to targeted marketing."

Immediate results of the new partnership included Prophecy's participation in the CA-Asia World exhibition in Shanghai late last year.
