Prophecy Wins Water Deal

Listed software company Prophecy International has scored a home
win with a deal to implement a new billing system for the South
Australian Department for Water Resources (DWR).
DWR, which is responsible for water resource management throughout
South Australia in particular, the River Murray and the South East,
is undertaking a $3.3 million project to upgrade South Australia's
water licensing and management system.
Department for Water Resources (SA) selected Prophecy International
and its rapid application assembly software, e-Foundation, to develop
WILMA (Water Information and Licensing Management Application) which
will deliver enhanced licensing and management reporting for DWR.
Prophecy International's e-Foundation product set is an e-business
solution that utilises flexible object-oriented software assembly
to deliver adaptable business solutions, which allow an enterprise
to evolve its business systems unencumbered by inflexible legacy
Alan Greig, Chief Executive of Prophecy Australia, Asia and Africa,
said the DWR deal provided a great opportunity for Prophecy to support
a SA organisation. "Prophecy won what was a competitive bid
for the DWR tender against major system integrators and software
houses", he said.
"Prophecy has the ability to assist DWR achieve milestones
rapidly through ease of implementation, the capacity to deploy applications
across the web and the ability to adapt to constant changes in requirements."
DWR will utilise Prophecy International's software and services
to develop WILMA in an initial two year contract worth in excess
of $2 million.
Prophecy International is an Australian-based software multinational
and distributes its e-Foundation solution through a global distribution
network at more than 850 sites worldwide, covering all major time
zones. Clients include Sofia Water in Bulgaria, State of Colorado
in the US, National Express coachlines in the UK, ANZ Bank and Revenue
SA in Australia.
