Partnerships Underpin Prophecy's US Expansion
Released February 2002

Business software innovator Prophecy International is expanding its presence in North America through a series of strategic partnerships which are opening doors to major corporate and government customers.

In its most recent collaborative deal, the Adelaide-based company has linked with Colorado-based Office Technology Solutions (OTS) - a move that will extend its sales reach throughout the US.

Several other key partnerships have been secured with major IT companies, including EDS, Sun Microsystems and BEA.

The US has become the main focus of Prophecy's international push, and in August last year (2001) CEO Bruce Lakin moved to Colorado to personally direct the North American business.

Mr Lakin said strategic partnerships were a key feature of Prophecy's market expansion.

"It's very much a two-way street, with Prophecy able to access high-level corporate and government customers, while our partners have world-leading technology they can add to their portfolio," Mr Lakin said.

"The partnership with OTS will enable both companies to secure an increasing share of the US Government application development market."

Prophecy's technology allows dramatic improvements in business systems for web based applications. The company's e-Foundation suite enables large and middle market organisations to build and deploy web software applications in record time.

Prophecy is a major sponsor of the World Congress on Information Technology, and will use the event to launch Velatte, its latest design-and-run application development tool.

Velatte is a Java-based product that allows organisations to produce software applications without the traditional development phase.

Prophecy software has now been deployed in more than 850 sites worldwide, including:
· Rotary Watches in the UK, where it slashed product order turnaround from two weeks to less than a day.
· The State of Colorado, to automate management of network assets and user billing.
· Jahore Water in Asia for improving utilities billing.
